Beyond Gassendi
Hello,
Despite my tinner and thinner free time I’ve actually, I try to send my old lunar images nonetheless.
Today’s image’s showing the rough and highly fractured area west of Gassendi.
A noticeable result indeed given the low altitude and far distance of the Moon on that night.
The dark spot visible in the mare Humorum on the bottom-right corner is just a dust donut, not a new topographic detail!
More to follow.

Poalo, in this image “GASSENDI, MERSENIUS and BILLY Craters”, at the one o’clock position from Gassendi, there appears to be a foot print. It’s big toe is pointing at 20:31 UT and the heel bone points back to Gassendi. It has taken me a long time to figure it out, but I think its the sunlight reflecting off Rima Herigonius outline. You must have really worked hard to get this image. A few nights ago, I tried to see Conon and the Moon glare was killing my eyes. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have extreme magnification and a bright moon.
